The Honours Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering program will be offered by the Department of Physics and Computer Science at Laurier’s Milton campus. Laurier’s BEng in Software Engineering program has been purposefully designed to address pressing societal, environmental and economic challenges through a people and planet focus. The program will provide opportunities for experiential learning through design projects, teamwork, and a cooperative education option. It will also teach students to develop strong communication skills and the ability to assess the societal, environmental, technical, and legal implications of the technologies that they help to create. The design of the program aims to contribute to a greater gender balance within Engineering by reducing barriers to entry and incorporates equity, diversity, and inclusivity principles into the program curriculum and learning outcomes.
