Mechatronics Engineering, MASc and MEng

The Master of Applied Science (MASc: supervised research and thesis) and or Master of Engineering (MEng: project-based and course-based, with co-op option) in Mechatronics Engineering will provide students with: a detailed understanding for the practice and advanced study of advanced technologies; the broad and advanced education necessary for productive careers in the public or private sectors, as well as academia; the ability to develop skills necessary for clear communication and responsible teamwork, and to inspire professional attitudes and ethics; and an environment that will enable students to pursue their goals through innovative graduate programs, which are rigorous, challenging, and supportive. The main objective of the MASc program is to prepare students for careers as R&D engineers. Graduates of the program will be able to work as R&D engineers in advanced technology companies or government agencies. They also may choose to continue their education and pursue a PhD degree. The main objective of the MEng program is to provide the opportunity for engineers in industry to upgrade and expand their skills. Graduates of the program will apply their education to various advanced technologies in high-tech industries.
