Master of Engineering Management, MEM

The Master of Engineering Management (MEM) is a 16-month course-based master’s program that provides early-career engineers the opportunity to advance their competencies and skills and prepares graduates to ethically and responsibly manage highly diverse and multidisciplinary groups of individuals in organizations faced with the complex sociotechnical challenges associated with digitalization of industry, research, and design. Students take a selection of courses from the School of Engineering and the Gordon S. Lang School of Business and Economics. The first two semesters provide common foundational engineering management knowledge from both engineering and management perspectives. The third and fourth semesters have been designed to allow students to customize their studies to support individual career goals. Students are required to complete a capstone course in their final semester, through which they examine contemporary issues in the profession of engineering through the lens of engineering management, engage with industry experts, and participate in a case study simulation of an engineering management challenge.
