The use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is embedded across all sectors of public safety, including policing, corrections, emergency management, and border services. The Graduate Diploma in Geographic Information Systems and Data Analytics is a fully online Type 3 diploma that consists of four courses taken on a part-time basis (1-2 courses per tem). Students complete two core courses in Public Safety and two courses in GIS, Data Analytics, and Crime Mapping. Students will learn to capture, analyze, and interpret data in order to understand, respond to, predict and prevent public safety challenges.
