Building on previously acquired entry to practice Registered Nurse competencies, this graduate diploma in Dementia Studies is designed for Registered Nurses who wish to become leaders in the development and delivery of specialty care for individuals affected by dementia. Participants will engage in a five course program of study distributed over five semesters. The primary method of delivery is asynchronous online learning using the Blackboard learning platform, with readings, online discussions, and assignments distributed over five 12 week semesters. In each semester, learners will participate in one or two eight hour workshops, either online or in-person led by a faculty member. Workshops will include a variety of active learning and simulation experiences.
