Brock’s BSc in Data Sciences and Analytics (Honours) program is the result of concerted efforts between the Faculty of Mathematics and Science (FMS) and the Goodman School of Business (GSB). The program aims at forming well-rounded data scientists with a firm grounding in the principles and the technical proficiencies in the core areas of computational sciences (computer science/mathematics/statistics) and business (business intelligence and analytics) in addition to advanced knowledge in specialization domains such as financial analytics (currently one of the primary business domain of application for the science of big data), or artificial intelligence, machine learning, or statistical learning and computational methods. The proposed bachelor program offers a ‘regular’ Honours option (4 Years) as well as a “co-op” Honours option (4.5 years).
