Computer Science, PhD
The Ph.D. program in Computer Science prepares students for careers in academia and industry. Graduates of the program will have a deep understanding of Computer Science in general, and be experts in at least one advanced topic within another academic discipline of their and their supervisor’s interest. Graduate research topics may be conducted in the broad areas of computational logic and algebra, data mining, evolutionary computation, artificial intelligence, algorithms, parallelism, and combinatorics. Each student will also be a recognized member of their respective academic community, familiar with discipline specific practices such as the publication and review process, grant application procedures and working in collaborative research environments.
