The BSc (Honours) in Biomedical Science will provide the opportunity for an in-depth study of the interrelationships among the basic medical science disciplines. The proposed Biomedical Science degree allows students to personalize their degree by moving beyond the narrow focus of health and medicine and gives them room to explore health-based courses in the humanities and social sciences to enhance the breadth and scope of their degree. Students will have the option to complete a placement or an internship as part of this program, this educational opportunity will provide practical experiences in the health and medical science fields. The degree prepares students for careers in biomedical or applied health research, teaching, or in degree programs in medicine or in the allied health professions.
