Accessibility in Biomedicine, MASc
The Accessibility in Biomedicine program is a 12-month, fully online program that trains scientists and healthcare professionals in accessibility and community engagement. Co-created with diverse and historically underserved groups, especially people with disabilities, the program equips participants to integrate inclusion directly into biomedical and medical practice. It brings together fields that are often separate—medicine, biomedical research, disability studies, community engagement, sociology, and equity-diversity-inclusion— to prepare professionals to reshape how institutions interact with the communities they serve. Open to MD students in the MASc–MD pathway as well as learners from biomedical, health, and social sciences, the program emphasizes building accessible, community-oriented environments.
