Recognizing that effective cybersecurity requires more than just technical expertise, the proposed Honours Bachelor of Science in Cyber Science strategically integrates concepts and practices from technology, business, law/ethics/policy, and human behaviour. This aims to equip students with comprehensive and relevant information security knowledge and skills. Unlike existing programs that typically emphasize either computer science or business, the proposed Cyber Science program offers a foundational understanding and specialized learning pathways that uniquely bridge the technical, societal, and business landscapes of cyberspace. By examining cybersecurity through diverse lenses – technical, ethical, legal, and human-centred – this program will cultivate graduates who can connect these critical domains and emerge as future leaders with a holistic perspective.
