Master of Plant Agriculture, MPAg
The Master of Plant Agriculture (MPAg) is a course-based master’s program that offers students the opportunity to specialize in one of three fields: Breeding and Genetics; Biochemistry and Physiology; or Crop Production Systems. Through a combination of coursework and experiential learning opportunities, students gain a deeper understanding of basic and applied science and come to understand how it shapes modern plant agriculture. Students are exposed to cutting edge advances that impact plant agriculture within Canada and around the globe through interaction with leading university researchers and professionals in the sector. Capstone experiences include visits to farm and research stations wherein students are expected to develop innovative solutions to problems facing plant agriculture using science driven solutions, as well as an internship in their final semester of study.
