The Honours Bachelor of Arts Public Safety (BAPS) program is a part-time, online, professionally focused program designed exclusively for graduates of specific college diploma programs interested in the application of knowledge, and the demonstration of appropriate communication and professionalism skills necessary for success in public safety careers. The proposed program will serve community needs for competent public safety practitioners and address a current void found within public safety disciplines (i.e., emergency management, countering crime, national security, and border strategies) as the first online undergraduate program in Public Safety offered in Canada.

Students from a range of college diploma programs in related fields will be awarded 10.0 credits of advanced standing toward their degree, and complete the remaining 10 credits in the BAPS program.  In addition to new courses in public safety, the program curriculum consists of online courses across a variety of disciplines, including Policing, Leadership, Health Studies, Political Science, and Human Rights.
