Environmental Studies, BAH (Bachelor of Arts, Honours)

The School of Environmental Studies fosters interdisciplinary teaching and research on the environment by promoting collaboration among faculty in the natural and social sciences and humanities departments and in other Faculties and Schools at Queen’s. The BA program in Environmental Studies will prepare students to engage in complex environmental issues from a variety of perspectives. Through a range of courses students will learn to evaluate the impact of humans on the environment and gain experience integrating concepts and methods from multiple perspectives and disciplines to attain a more complete understanding of environmental problems. Upper-year courses, including honours projects and seminars, are aimed specifically at having students apply sustainability principles to propose, test, and assess possible solutions to environmental issues, including those in relation to policy and decision making.
