The UOIT Graduate Diploma Program in Accounting is a professional level program designed for business graduates with majors in accounting. The Program aims to prepare prospective Charter Professional Accountants (CPAs) for their careers. The Program is tailored to expand the knowledge and skills students gained from the UOIT Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Major and pave the way for them to enter the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) at Capstone 1. Integral to the Graduate Diploma Program in Accounting and to meeting the requirements of the PEP will be the development of the five enabling competencies described in the CPA Competency Map. The five enabling competencies are: Professionalism and ethical behavior, problem‐solving and decision making, communication, self‐management, and teamwork and leadership.
